Katie got tired of being our favorite part of Disgraceland so she and the magickal Ms Marta went and opened their own place: Cardinal Rule. it is at 5 Roncesvalles Ave, and it’s wicked and I can’t wait to drink there very soon. these are some of the things we ate there this morning at the best meal of the week, brunch:
the Huevos Cardinales quesadilla, the biggest of its kind this bruncher has seen in this city.
the daily French toast, which today was topped with apples and cinnamon and pecans and raisins and I think some kind of booze?
breakfast pie of the day; eggs and veggies and things baked into a bacon crust.
traditional breakfast, sunny side up, which I got because I wanted latkes. and these were seriously some of the best latkes I have had ever. so chivey!
